Hello blog-friends - long time no type!! I have been hibernating as you know from my previous post, and it has been good. I spent this week preparing for and attending 2 bible studies, on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Actually, Monday night I WASTED an entire evening watching the finale of The Bachelor. Then I had to scurry around and start preparing to lead bible study for my small group on Tuesday night - we are going through the book of Luke and it has been a blessing so far. After church Wednesday night I went to Target (the best store in the world!) to load up on all of the stuff I have been neglecting to buy. Thursday night was fun, as I babysat for pixies Ansley and Ellie and was exhausted by the time I arrived home! Last night we had family dinner to celebrate all of our March birthdays and anniversaries - pizza night with build your own ice cream sundaes for dessert...yum! It is always bedlam when the whole Mason clan is here but we love being together.
It was the most beautiful Saturday here in our corner of TN today. Spring has definitely begun to pop up all over, but I think that dogwood winter is still on the horizon. However, I am going to focus on the smell of the beautiful hyacinth my friend Kim gave me this week. And the beautiful roses that my hubs gave me for our anniversary this week. Today we went to Cameron's Y-league basketball games, and his team won the championship. Then we loaded up and went to the annual Lawn and Garden show at the fairgrounds, which always gets my mind racing about projects that need to be completed here at Chez Mason. The hubby doesn't get nearly as inspired, since he knows that he will be the chore-boy who has to carry out my hare-brained ideas! But just that stroll through all of those beautiful flowers does my soul good. It lets me know that brighter days are just around the next bend...
I have definitely missed reading all of my fave blogs whilst I was underground, but am looking forward to catching up on everyone's springtime decorating ideas and projects. Enjoy a springy Sunday!!
