The Return of Mimi

Hello again! After quite a long hiatus from blogging I am back. Would love to say "back and better than ever" but that would be a lie! For the very small (but special) group of folks who read this blog, here is my list of excuses for my recent absence from blog-land:
1. I was hit over the head at a TJMaxx sale and have just now regained consciousness.
2. I was kidnapped by those evil monkeys from The Wizard of Oz and have been held captive.
3. I have been working on my Nobel-Prize winning recipe for plutonium.

Now, for those of you who know me you are probably skeptical right now, thinking that perhaps none of the excuses above are actually plausible. And, with a great sigh of remorse I have to admit you are right! The REAL reasons why I have been gone so long are as follows:
1. We have been experiencing quite a long bout of computer trauma - some naughty gnome keeps goobering up our system.
2. We went to the beach for spring break, so that kept me off the computer for a week while I basked on the cold shores in Destin.
3. I have really had a tremendous case of writer's block - seriously, I have wracked my brain for topics of interest to share with you and have come up with zip, zilch, nada.
4. I mean no disrespect to my fellow bloggers, but I have sort of been living my life, rather than writing about my life. But let me footnote here that I have desperately missed catching up with all of you and am SO happy to have my trusty computer up and running again! Now I can catch up with Susie over at Bienvenue and Suzanne at Southern Living at Home and Rhoda at Southern Hospitality, etc. etc. etc.

I have missed learning about all of your new projects and recipes and fun things in your lives. And I have especially missed getting my daily dose of Godly wisdom from Angie at Bring The Rain. So I have been going through and reading and just feeling so happy to reconnect with my cyber-pals - many of whom don't even know that I was out of pocket for a while but whose blogs make me believe that there are endless possibilities to be explored each day.

So, Mimi is back and blogging. A weak start, but I promise to do better tomorrow! And just a word to my darling daughter Dana - the ball is in your court, ReRe, because you are even farther behind in the blogging stakes than dear ol' Mom!!

Hugs and kisses, Lana

Aww, you have been missed, Miss Lana.....but it's ok to take a break every so often. It does make one appreciate the blogging world after a short leave of absence! And for your blogger's block, I think you'll be inspired by all the getting on with spring posts and can latch on to some of those ideas to make your own. No problem! Keep us posted.
