I just ate a glazed Krispy Kreme doughnut. And is there anything better than some fried dough with a sugar glaze on top? I think not! This is now my second KK of the day - following lunch with my parents at their fave spot, Cracker Barrel, I zipped in next door to the KK even though the HOT sign was not on. The gals at my office had "mentioned" that they would love some doughnuts and I obliged them (and me!) with a box of the traditional glazed. No muss, no fuss, just a small fistful of joy. $6.00 at the drive-up window - fabulous. During my munchfest just now, it occurred to me that my blog consists mainly of family anecdotes, food-related stories, and friends. As a Southern gal through and through, this is as it should be. Family, food and fun with friends are what we are all about south of the Mason-Dixon line... Sa-lute!
Now I do confess to a bit of blogger envy, because I visit wonderful sites that inspire me to decorate, or gain some balance in my everyday living, or just to remember how grateful I am for the health of my family. So far my blog isn't much except a place for me to spill out the overflow of my brain. I am too challenged to post pics of my house or family, but am hoping that darling daughter Dana will drop by soon to assist me. (this would be where she rolls her eyes and laughs at her mama) Maybe someday my little blogspot will grow into a place that people want to drop by and visit - there aren't many of you out there yet but a girl can dream...
Speaking of dreams, do you think they have a Krispy Kreme Queen? If there can be a Sweet Potato Queen I don't know why I can't dub myself the Doughnut Queen! May all your days be sugar-glazed...

Ok I must confess that I am jealous and you were able to stop with one KK. I can each 5 at one sitting (then I feel guilty and work out harder). Well I am glad that I know a queen!
